This was a music video inspired by the ad for the game Arkham City, it uses the same soundtrack from the T.V commercial which was done by the artist “Example”, so in a way this is an expansion of that.
Video editing is one of my main hobbies, and the main reason i did this was to develop on my editing skills with the software i was using (Vegas Pro 10). I felt creating a music video would be the best way to test my abilities as it requires timing, good use of effects and transitions for the footage.
The video was also made for a gaming channel on YouTube called hackstom but was taken down by the user due to copyright claims. I have re-uploaded up here to display as part of my work.

Description:
City 16 citizens discover a strange object falling from the sky. Sirens blaring from fire trucks and local authorities trying to clear the impact zone. The object being undetectable by radar; had been discovered too late.
Decided to embed the full video, the other doesn’t seem to be working.

This video was influenced by themes within the game: Deus Ex Human Revolution.
I used a combination of Vegas Pro and Final Cut to create this video. I intended to also use After Effects to animate the fonts but the complexity would require time which i didn’t have. There are many sources and products that didn’t make it in, i didn’t want the video to be over 2 minutes for the showing at hand, i might make an extended version. A good friend helped with the voice overs, she recorded several sound clips but most of them didn’t make it, because as i mentioned a lot of materials where drooped. My original idea was to portraythe many benefits of augmentation: from Army usage to personal innuendos but i decided to keep it withing media and prosthetic product that where available to purchase or in the works; things that are closer to reality.
